Research on Impact Resistance of Carbon-Ceramic Brake Disc Friction Surface to Foreign Particles

چکیده
Based on the microscopic structure of fiber-reinforced composite materials, a finite element analysis model was developed using LS-DYNA software to simulate damage carbon-ceramic brake discs under high-speed foreign particles impact conditions. The incorporated Chang-Chang failure criterion intra-layer and introduced material stiffness reduction scheme investigate process mechanism discs. results show that primary forms are micro-cracks in matrix fiber compression failure. majority energy dissipated during is absorbed by unidirectional layer, with mesh layer absorbing relatively less energy. As angle increases, total absorption area disc also increase, tensile first occur, followed damage, finally damage. initial velocity both showed an overall upward trend, rate growth slow at then fast. shape has significant effect distribution disc, spherical-shaped causing more severe disc.

Performance of a Nao Friction Material for Disc Brake
The purpose of brake is to decelerate a vehicle by transforming the kinetic energy of the vehicle to heat via friction and dissipating that heat to the surroundings. As a part of an automobile, brake materials have additional requirements like resistance to corrosion, light weight, long life, low noise, stable friction, low wear rate and acceptable cost versus performance. Selection of the mate...

We consider a gyroscopic system with two degrees of freedom under the action of small dissipative and non-conservative positional forces, which has its origin in the models of rotating bodies of revolution being in frictional contact. The spectrum of the unperturbed gyroscopic system forms a ”spectral mesh” in the plane ”frequency – gyroscopic parameter” with double semi-simple purely imaginary...

متن کاملEffect of surface treatments on damping behavior of carbon and glass fiber reinforced friction material
The ability to absorb vibrations in a vehicle during braking conditions depends primarily on the selection of ingredients for a friction material and interfacial adhesion between all these ingredients. In this work, a hybrid brake friction material is developed by combination of carbon fiber (CF), glass fiber (GF), resin and other ingredients. The surfaces of carbon and glass fibers are c...
